As if Annapolitans need one more reason to eat and drink, this offer comes with a bonus – your indulgences benefit homeless animals. Each Thursday through mid-September, Fado Irish Pub hosts Yappy Hour from 5 – 7 pm. The dog-friendly restaurant contributes 20 percent of all sales on their spacious, lovely patio to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
If you don’t have a dog, no problem. Volunteers from the shelter bring one of its residents, along with information on all the shelter events and programs.
The benefits to you:
Happy hour prices on drinks.
Five menu items priced at only $6, including Harp Battered Fish Tacos.
A special menu for your furry friend.

More ways to help the SPCA of Anne Arundel County
In addition to the donations from food and beverage sales, you can support the SPCA by purchasing a bowl for your dog for $5. Then decorate it, add your pet’s name and leave it at Fado. The bowls hang in the patio window – awaiting your next visit. It’s the canine version of Cheers. In fact, the friendly waitresses know SPCA volunteer Leslie by name.
Rusty was a special guest from the SPCA. He’s a 10-year-old Miniature Pinscher who is at the shelter because his owner cannot care for him, a frequent reason for surrender of older animals. Rusty enjoyed his knees-eye view of the Yappy Hour scene.
Your donations will be used immediately. Last year, the SPCA of Anne Arundel Country placed 2,156 animals in their fur-ever homes. And in 2016, the organization is on pace to shatter its own record.
